The focus of this year’s retreat is to explore science and literacy: How can we work together to improve students’ thinking and writing in science?
Our goals for the retreat: - Provide professional development to support high quality instruction, reflective practice, and professional growth - Explore the Common Writing Assignment as a way to improve, not only student writing, but scientific inquiry and conceptual understanding - Design Peer Workshop Trainings and Common Writing Assignment Supports - Develop professional collaborations and relationships to strengthen our work
